WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NUTREL AND EARTHING

Answer / bose
Neutral :- The star connected end of the transformer is get
earthed to get a zero potential. This point is considered as
neutral.Tha circuit is conmpleted through neutral.
Earthing :- All the house holding equipments are earthed
inorder to get protection from electric shocks.A house
earthing can also be made neutral if the earthing has zero
potential.
ie Neutral & earthing are same if they are having zero
potential.

Answer / jyotiska
in single phase system, neutral act as the return
path, therby completing the ckt.On the otherhand, Earthing
is done to carry the leakage current from various
equipement.

I only know about "neutral". I missed the lecture about
"NUTREL".

Neutral sustained by grid or service should be maintained as
relative to potential on other phase legs. Ever heard of a
"stinger" from a WYE? Hmmmmm?
Anyhow...
Earth ground is "dumped" current path with respect to
circuit available potential so long environmental conditions
sustain signal propagation to source (i.e. ph basic or
acidic electrolytically pro-motive current media, such as
aquifer with ionic properties).
Neutral or Earth is always relative potential to other power
transmission phases.
Yeah, you really need to "bond" that source to load over 40
meters through earth.

1-Neutral gives a return path to current but earthing has
nothing to do with return path.
2-Neutral point is used as a reference point of any
potential value but earthing is a reference point of zero
potential.
3-Continuous current flows in neutral while in earthing
current flows only during underload condition.

NUTERAL-- It is considered as zero potential.
EARTHING-- It is corelate with ground to earth.
MAIN FUNDAMENTAL DIFFERENCE IS THAT.....
EARTHING having much losses in compare to nuteral.
