OBVIOUSLY THE AMPERE HOUR CAPACITY AND THE INPUT VOLTAGE TO
THE UPS WILL BE DIFFERENT IN BOTH THE CASES THUS U WILL
HAVE TO DESIGN DIFFERENTLY FOR BOTH

In series the input voltage to ups increase and in parller
ampher hour capacity got double e.g i have two battery of
rating 12v 18ah . In parlel i get 12v 36ah and in series i
get 24v 18ah

You connect both battery in parallel so it will be theoretically and practically right
