i heard that power factor(PF) is the main concern for
industries, if they are maintaining PF around 0.6 they will
be fined for that. now the question is, how can they improve
the PF ranging between 0.9 to 0.95 which is safe for them
i,e escaping from the fine?

Power factor in industries can be improved by using
capacitor banks

The PF is low because of inductive load. You can improve IT by adding capacitive load. Luckily cap load is loss free. That means you dont pay kwh for it but you must buy and maintain the capacitor and on and off it as necessary at the right amount.
One way to know how much you need, is you must know the load in KW and the pf.
assuming the load is 500 kw and the PF is 0.6 and you want to improve it to 0.95. you can find out the kva demands at this two pf levels
500/0.6=833kva . 500/0.95=526 kva, 833 kva -526kva =307kva
If you add 307kvar into the system in paralel you would improve the pf to 0.95 you can divide this into 8 steps of 40 KVAR each connected accros the 3 phases through an auto PF regulator.Your cap on each step will be rated as 40 kvar at 415 volts (rated voltage) 3 PHASE.
I welcome any improvements or comment about this.

inddustries mostly use static variable compensation (SVC)
technique for pf improvment.
Nowwhy dose pf drops? Due to inductive loads(eg.due to
arcing furnaces)
what SVC scheme dose is it proptionatly increases
captcitacne with inc. inductance or vice versa.
also using syc. motors can improve pf
(remember sync. motor is also called sync. condensor)

Let say the load 500kw and u wanna increase ur power factor
from 0.6 to 0.95
500 (Tan 1-Tan 2)-u can use complex calculator to convert
from cos to tan
500 (1.33-0.32)
505kvar
u can set it with 6 step
505/6
84kvar and make it 80kvar each step

In EHV transmission line a neutral grounding reactor is often placed at neutral point of shunt reactors. What is the recommended protection for this neutral grounding reactor? Should I use a fast closing switch to bypass neutral grounding reactor when this protection operates?

During Testing of Maintenance Free Earthing, How deep should be the Spikes of Earth Test Meter should be inserted in the soil(one spike is 15 Meter & Other spike is 30 Mtrs away from the Main Earth Electrode. Because, recently, we observed that when spike is inserted 3-4 Inch in the earth- results are better, If spike is inserted 1 feet deep than results are increasing.
why should be the frequency is 50 hz only why not others like 45, 95 56 or anything , why should we maintain the frequency constant if so why it is only 50
