Answer / gajendran.al
When load on the motor increases, it tries slow down. This
reduction of speed reduces the back emf produced [which
acts as the current limiting impedance]. Due to this the
current drawn by the motor increases

Answer / s s nanal
Full load speed of Induction Motor is near the sunchronous
speed. (Ns = 120 f/P) With increase in load the motor slows
down.Hence back emf developed also reduces.Hence motor
draws more current from supply in order to retain its speed
near synchronous speed.
