diode conducts only in forward bias.the diode will break
down when it is revrse biased. but zener will conduct in
reverse bias also. break down will occur after some voltage
level which is more compare to diode

diode converts ac to dc onely but zener diode convets ac to
dc and voltage also controlled its voltage controle range
is 15voltes to 200voltes

Answer / sunil guru
yes right
simple diode conducts in forward bias only....
whereas zener diode has the property to conduct beyond reverse bias(reverse break down voltage)
in practical it is used to create a reference voltage for comparison with with fundamental circuit voltage

HOW TO FIND THE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY OF TRANSFORMER(IN OFF CONDITION) USING MULTIMETER? IS IT POSSIBLE FIND BY SEEING RESISTANCE???
why dc current is supplied in america rather than ac
what are the type of transformer?
We all have seen transmission and Distribution lines In transmission lines the voltage is high and current is low(to reduce I^2r loss) and in distribution lines voltage is low but current is high however the size of transmission wires is bigger than that of distribution wires even though the amount of current carried by the distribution lines is more than that of transmission lines why?
How does frequency affect KVA rating of a transformer? If a 500 kva, 400 v, 60 hz t/f is to be operated on 50 hz frequency then how will its KVA rating change? a-increase b-decrease c-remains same Also explain why do u think like that.
