IN PLATE EARTHING , PLATE LAID IN VERTICAL POSITION ,WHY HORIZONTAL WHY NOT..

Answer / pratheesh

Soil resistance varies in different layers of the soil. It
is always less in the outer portion of the earth. And as
the depth increases, we get very low resistance.
In vertical positioning, earth plate gets more contact with
different layers of the soil thats y we get very low
resistance in that particulat earth system.
