Answer / vinod sharma
IN ANY POWER SYSTEM WE SEE THAT SOME WORDS LIKE KW, KVA,
KVAR, KVAH ARE USED. THERE IS A RELATION IN BETWEEN THEM.
WHEN WE USE KW IT MEANS IT IS THE COMBINATION OF
1.732*V*I*COS(ANGLE BETWEEN VOLTAGE AND CURRENT). BUT WHEN
WE USE KV,IT IS ONLY VOLTS IN KILO.

Answer / tauseef tarique, engineer(e)
kV (Kilo Watt) is the unit of measurement of electrical
power. While kV is the unit of measurement of voltage
(potential difference).
for the three phase supply
kW= 1.732xVxIxcos phi
where V= Voltage
I= Current
Cos phi= power factor
For single phase supply
kW= VxIx cos phi

Answer / sivananda samantara
kw=kilo watt the measurement of power
kv=kilovolt the measurement of voltage
so normally kw=1.732*v*i*pf
it is the relation between each

Answer / ziyados
W = 1.73 I V p.f for TP
KW = 1000 W , KV = 1000 V so:
KW = 1.73 I KV p.f

Answer / qasim
basically we can calculate watt by
watt= (volts required)(Amperes)(Power Factor)
watt=V*I*P.F
and then for getting the kilowatt, divide the resulted answer by 1000 so by this method we can calculate correct relationship b/w Kw and Kv.

It is simple as relation between family(w) & grand father
(v).
kw is the product of v,i,cos phi,
kv is the pressure which makes the power.
