i think this would be a simple question but i was asked.
what is total time taken to develop a report from getting
requirement document from the client?
dont reply as it depends,i am expecting something else.

Hey guys this very simple , Requirements gathering till the
development of a report alwasy depends on how
simple/complex the report would be and what are the
parameters whether there would be a need for any cube to be
built if yes then what would be the dimensions and what
kind of security is to be implemented on the cube etc. so I
would say a simple report would take 3 days effective and a
complex report would take 10 days effective.

According to my concern time taken to complete the reports
is mainly depends on how the client wanted to format the report
which means for generating report is such a simple one which
takes 20% of the total time where formatting that generated
report will take 80% of the total time

Hi Friends, What is the Max no.of rows in a report & a page? If we have Master, Detail Reports, I have define drill through, Requirement is When i run Master Report it should run in HTML, when i drill through to detailed report it should get into PDF is it Possible in Cognos? Thank You Kumar

how you burst the reports? If you are bursted reports is not reached to destination how you identify?when you import data into catalog you have complex columns names.how do you change the name of those columns?
