when 2 dissimilar metals join together form 2 ends. one end
is cold junction and another one is hot junction. when hot
junction is heated. in these metals emf(m volts) is induced.
that is called SEEBECK effect

Seebeck effect it comes in thermocouple where 2 dissimilar
metals are joined together to forma a circuit, where
Hotjunction & cold junction called and where emf is induced
and this is found by Seebeck only.

IF 2 dissimilar metals are joined together to form a closed
circuit ther will be junction where they will meet. if one
junction is heated amount of current will flow.amount of
current flow depends upon difference between 2 junction
temp.

see back effect . two dissimilar metals directly contect
with measuring points . heat priovides with cold
junction.and it provides milli volts hot junction . to
increaze the temparature.

What is open loop checking and close loop checking
hi everybody. right now i am working with thermal power plant. our company plant is tripped because of program corrupt. i would like to know is it possible when the plant is running. we are using FREELANCE ABB800F CONTROLLER.
Steve said that "An eddy-current probe works by passing an alternating current through a coil of wire and measuring the coil’s impedance" while we are using -24 Volt DC , So I am confused about DC and AC. Plz .
