how the inductor will work on dc supply?whether it will work or not?..

Answer / ranjeeta patel

see,we know the frequency of dc supply is 0(zero) and again
inductive reactanceis equal to 2*pi*f*L,therefore inductive
reactance is zero.Hence it acts as a simple conductor

how the inductor will work on dc supply?whether it will work or not?..

Answer / amit kolte

Inductuve reactance=2*3.14*F*L
In DC Frequncy=0
Therefore Inductive reactance=0 ohm
means it short circuited

how the inductor will work on dc supply?whether it will work or not?..

Answer / shivkant sharma

First you should notice in which DC application you are
using inductor. Generally in two cases of DC, we use inductor
1. As Filter
2. In case of power supplies

In case of FILTER application we are getting rippled DC so
to Smooth that DC we use inductor, that opposes change in
current.

And in case of DC to DC converters(Power Supply
Applications) we use inductor as energy storage
element(BOOST Converters).

how the inductor will work on dc supply?whether it will work or not?..

Answer / ghazi

in case of DC inductive reactance is zero so if inductor is
ideal then it would be short curcuited otherwise it will
have some resistance due to which some potential drop will
take place.

how the inductor will work on dc supply?whether it will work or not?..

Answer / jalapathi

if we gave a dc power to the IM winding it develops a non
variable magnetic field. bit motor does not run. bcoz there
is no relative motion between const mag field and rotor
conductor.

ex: dc solenoid coil
when we give dc power to the solenoid coil it will act as
magnet

how the inductor will work on dc supply?whether it will work or not?..

Answer / masoom raza

when dc circuit will switch on and off inductor will play same like ac (i.e it oppose the change in current as during switching on or off as time high frequency transients will appear) After that it will act same as resistor (as inductor have no of turns hence its resistance is high)

how the inductor will work on dc supply?whether it will work or not?..

Answer / er. ankush miglani 9718151073

inductor works as a conductor of long length.

how the inductor will work on dc supply?whether it will work or not?..

Answer / rider

As u know inductor is an active element function of
inductor is to oppose any change in current.A capacitor
stores energy in its electric field where as inductor do
the same in magnetic field.Yes it will work opn DC supply
but just as a conductor and has no effect..

Is This Answer Correct ?    17 Yes 19 No

how the inductor will work on dc supply?whether it will work or not?..

Answer / shravan k tiwari

the inductor acts as a resistor as we know that 2*3.14*f*L
and f=0 for dc current.

Is This Answer Correct ?    4 Yes 6 No

how the inductor will work on dc supply?whether it will work or not?..

Answer / rajesh

WHEN A DC SUPPLY IS GIVEN TO AN INDUSTOR IT WILL WORK JUST
LIKE A RESISITOR.
