Hi everyone.. I attended the HAL interview... on 9th dec
2008 @ Bangalore.. the interview was 90% technical... my
question are>>>>>
1) Design a rod that should withstand 1000N? (they told
that the material is mild steel & they gave me the stress-
strain graph for that)
2) what is the principal of hydraulic braking??
3) whether interchangebility is possible between JIGS &
FIXTURES???
4) what is recent developement in Automobile ENGINE???
5) abt my final year project (since i m a fresher)
6) some HR questions

3.interchangability is not possible in jigs and
fixtures.because fixtures are just work holding device.they
cannot guide the tool to pass through whereas jigs can hold
the workpiece as well as guide the tool w.r.t to the
contour of the jig.
4.some recent developments are DTSi engine,Power steering
system,DDiS engine,MPFI engine,anti-lock braking system etc
