simply both are the same but only the difference is stress is only in/on solid matters in case of pressure available on liquids and gas (both units are same N/mm^2)

Answer / himanshu purohit
stress apllied only in solids and pressure applied in every thing i.e. soild liquid gas.

Answer / divya bhavsar
pressure is apllied perpendicular to the surface but stress
need not to be perpendicular, it can act at any angle on
the body

Answer / saurabh
Stress and pressure have slight difference although they
have the same formula for calculation, when the force is
applied to a body and the movement of body is fixed or
coinstraint stress comes into picture such that the force
generated is internal and when the body is not coinstraint
pressure comes into effect.
