what happen when diesel is injected in petrol engine

The compression ratio of a petrol engine is around 6 to 9
and it is ignited by a spark plug.
The compression ratio of a diesel engine is around 14 to 25
and ignition takes place due to the rise in temperature of
air during compression.
Hence diesel requires at least a compression ration of 14
for self ignition. If the engine is preheated to a certain
level.. and diesel is injected...yes ..it will work.. but
detonation / knock will take place. Simply injecting diesel
inside the petrol engine will not serve any purpose.

the mixer won't work properly cuz the Diesel is a heavy
liqued whith means that it won't be easy to be mixed with
the air, maype the combustion will take place but it will
not be a complete combustion so the power will be reduced.

in the diesel engine compression ration is higher. At higher
C.R. diesel get burn due to multiple point self ignition but
in SI engine C.R. is very less so there might be possibility
that diesel may not burn. If still it start burning due to
sparking, then uncompleted combustion, Detonation/ knocking
will take place. which reduces efficiency and power

Theoretically it should be hard to fill a petrol tank with
diesel, as diesel nozzles are too wide to fit into the
tank. However using diesel in a petrol engine may destroy
the engineĀ“s catalytic converter, necessitating a costly
replacement.

Diesel does not need high compression ratios to ignite. A
diesel engine has a high compression ratio purely because
that is more efficient. Diesel has an etremely low octane
value (or high ctane value) which means that it will auto
ignite very easily.
This means
1) if your car is fuel injected your will hear bad
knocking, and realise there is a problem and turn off, or
2) If your car has a carb, you will hear bad knocking and
turn off, though your engine will keep running, since it
will be auto igniting. And you engine will seize, since in
those 40 seconds before seizure you will probably not think
quick enough to put it in gear and stall it.
Soo best plan, don't use diesel in a petrol car.

diesel flamability temp is very high@ does not meet when injected in patrol engines.it require very high temp $press.

u need more air and more compression has to takes place so
that more temperature has to develop in petrol engine.
so finally non uniform combustion will takes place so that
the output shaft power will be jurk.
i.e. some times it will go and suddenly it will stop and
again starts.
so that it will affect on the connecting rod. it will gives
more sudden loads on that connecting rod so that the cam
shaft may fails due to non uniform inertia.

nothing will happen if we use diesel in petrol engine, diesel
will not burn at all and engine will not start

The diesel will not burn as diesel require high temperature
and pressure when compared to petrol
