Answer / engr tauseef
due to additional resistance heat transfer rate decrease.
for example:
heat transfer b/w one layer is more as compared to b/w two
layer.one layer of plate b/w two fluid and another layer is
scaling or deposition etc...in order to avoid fouling or
scaling.....shud be bleed off.
its already mention in Glorious Quran in sura Qayama
Sura#75, ayat#9 ...heat always flows from hot body to cold
body.

ACCOUNTING AND FINANCIAL ENGINEERING - EXAMPLE 34.5 : In an American style option for share market, 2 persons - A and B agree to the following : B is required to sell 100 shares of IBMS to A for $85 per share anytime that A wants in the next 8 months. A will pay B $2 per share up front, non-refundable for this option. IBMS involves in petrochemical processing. IBMS stock is currently selling for $80 per share. (a) If A did not buy the share of IBMS from B after 8 months, how much will B earn? (b) If the share of IBMS goes up to $100 / share in 6 months later : (i) how much should A pay B for 100 shares according to their optional agreement? (ii) how much will A earn from 100 shares purchased from B when all the 100 shares are sold to the open market? (iii) how much net profit will A earn for selling 100 shares to the open market?

POLYMER ENGINEERING - QUESTION 24.1 : The molecular weights M in kg / mol of 3 different monomers a, b and c in a polymer are Ma = 14, Mb = 16 and Mc = 18. The fraction of polymer chain X of 3 different monomers a, b and c in a polymer are Xa = 0.5, Xb = 0.3 and Xc = 0.2. (i) Calculate number average molecular weight by using the formula Ma Xa + Mb Xb + Mc Xc. (ii) Calculate weight average molecular weight by using the formula (Ma Xa Ma + Mb Xb Mb + Mc Xc Mc) / (Ma Xa + Mb Xb + Mc Xc). (iii) Calculate the polydispersity by using the answer in (ii) divided by answer in (i). (iv) If the molecular weight of repeat unit is 12, calculate the degree of polymerization by using the formula (Ma Xa + Mb Xb + Mc Xc) / (molecular weight of repeat unit).
