The characteristics (Amplitudue,Frequency,Phase) of Carrier
signal is varied according to the instantaneous amplitude
of Information signal or Baseband Signal.

Answer / shweta
Modulation means changing the instantaneous characteristic
(amplitude,frequency,width,phase) of carrier accordind to
the instantaneous amplitude of information signal or
modulating signal.

Answer / sanyasi rao allanki
normally any signal will have three basic characteristics
i.e., amplitude, frequency and phase. a low frequency
signal cannot be transmitted over longer distances. so it
has to be sent using some high frequency sigal, which is
generally said to be carrier signal, used to carry the low
frequency signal from one place to the other place. it
doesnot covery any information. once signal is reached to
receiver the carrier signal will be removed at the
destination end.
so any one of the characterstics of the carrier signal is
varied in accordance with the instantaneous value of the
message signal or baseband signal is said to be modulation.

suppose a weak signal is travelling. so as to increse it's
strength we put that weak signal over an another strong
signal so as to pass the information . this process is
modulation by concepts. or read the above bookish lines..

sending of the low frequeny message signal with high
frequency carrier at transmitter
| Is This Answer Correct ? | 1 Yes | 0 No |
Answer / waseeda
modulation is a process which passes the carrier signal
along with input signal to reduce noise during
transmission .here the carrier signal changes as input
signal changes its characteristics,
it also helps to carry low frequency signals
