Physical layer-The physical layer provides the physical
query layer and is made up primarily of data source and
stored procedure query subjects .It acts as a foundation for
presentation layer.
Presentation layer-The presentation layer makes it easier
for report authors to find and understand their data .The
presentation layer is made up primarily of model query
subjects that you create

Physical layer is responsible for bit by bit transfer of data reliably, and also support the electrical and mechanical specifications of a link..
whereas the domain of presentation layer covers the compatibility between computers with different internal data format/ o.s... as well as data encryption and decryption for security. compression and decompression also comes under the responsibility of the presentation layer..
