motivation Theory?
Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback
motivation is recognizing the inner needs, urges & beliefs
of people and fulfilling those needs in order to satisfy the
person........ it motivates the person to perform better......
there are some very famous theories of motivation like
maslow's need hierarchy, mcgregor theory, X & Y theory
etc......... Maslow's need hierarchy is the most famous
one..... i just give you a brief about that:
Every person has five types of needs......
physiological needs
psychological needs(safety needs)
social needs
esteem needs(achieving status in society)
self recognition needs(A sense of achievement)
one has to identify these needs of people, and by fulfilling
them...... motivation comes....
I hope i am not wrong, but still if i am incorrect please
everyone who is reading this post make me correct......
Thanks & Regards

This is base on what i observe from my fellow classmates
during our recitation. the question was "what is your
motivation?" each of my classmate tells who motivate them,
and from my understanding, motivation is somehow a source of
a positive force that leads you to do something better or to
achieve a greater goal.. because the example of my
classmates are accurately in the Maslow's hierarchy of needs;
(1)psychological,
(2)Safety,
(3)Love or belonging,
(4)Esteem,
(5)self-actualization.
this are the five Maslow's hierarchy of needs, and each
sample of my classmates are sad, depressing, love,
inspiration, desired, belongness.
this is just my opinion and i hope you can relate to it. :)

Psychological discipline that attempts to describe why
people or animals behave as they do solely in terms of
internal needs that drive behavior, rather than attributing
any influence to external stimuli. For example, someone may
choose to dine in an elegant restaurant because of an
internal drive such as hunger or the need for self-esteem,
but not because he saw a neon sign saying "Eat here."
Marketers study motivation theory so that their promotions
can be designed to appeal to the internal forces that
presumably are a powerful influence on buying behavior-more
powerful than external stimuli. For example, you wouldn't
see an advertisement that says "Buy this perfume and smell
good." You do see advertisements that say "Buy this perfume
and have all your needs for love, sex, and romance [social
interaction] fulfilled. depth interviews are used in
marketing research to probe into the hidden motivations
behind people's behavior as consumers. See also appeal;
marketing concept.
