Slicing -taking a specific segment of info out of the data. eg. total number of units sold for a product over a specific time frame
vs
Dicing - taking a specific segment but a more detailed view of info, eg. overall sales for specific product, produced by different mfg over specific time in specific region.

so when you do sliciing and dicing if you want to display
all the products sold through internet it will display all
product sold by internet booking.ie viewing the data in
different prespectives. we basically use this concept while
dealing with cubes.
