That means instared of using 7.4 transformer in Cognos 8.2
we have that feature available with 8.3 i.e Transformer 8.3

More differences are

1) Upgrade manager
Which is the new tool in 8.3 which will test the reports
which are migrated from CRN to c8 .

2) Report Studio Express is another tool which is available
with 8.3 it falls between Query Studio and Report Studio.

3) Performance of Analysis Studio is increased as well the
look and feel also changed.

4) Cognos Administration appliat - Which will tell the
current no of users working on Cognos tools

5) Portal Improvements

6) New model Advisor to improve the ability to deliver high
quality models

We faced a strange behavious while migrating reports from
Cognos 8.2 to Cognos 8.3.

We have created a class in the model and in that class we
created various prompts.

Different reports are created using these prompts and some
prompts are required in some reports and others are
required in other.

We faced an issue instead of not using the prompts in some
reports the report is prompting for those prompts which are
available in the model but not used in the report.

Does anybody else faced this type of issue and have any
solution for this?

that.
