specific gravity of a battery?..

Specific gravity of the battery should be in 1.23 to 1.26.
Its means, if its below of the mentioned gravity,we sould
add acid or above of its, we should add distilled water in
the battery.The specific gravity showing the battery cell
strength & condition while we measuring the gravity.
