dc is more dangerous than ac. ac also dangerous ,but for it we requires three parameter (1) magnitude of current (2) time duration (3) frequency of supply
note: voltage is not dangerous

MY Bro Pradeep kumar who tells you that Dc is not harmfull , The railway traction system supply is completely dc transmission, even though all the high tension transmission is done using dc supply, the actual reason is that in ac once when its cycle comes to zero u get a chance to be left from shock but in d.c once u get shock u wont as it has only positive cycle.

Direct current (DC), because it moves with continuous motion
through a conductor, has the tendency to induce muscular
tetanus quite readily. Alternating current (AC), because it
alternately reverses direction of motion, provides brief
moments of opportunity for an afflicted muscle to relax
between alternations. Thus, from the concern of becoming
"froze on the circuit," DC is more dangerous than AC.

Hello guys,
I have not much knowledge to judge on your answers but I have also come with an evidence that DC current is more hazardous than that of AC. Reason- I have taken shock myself for a second(time) from both AC and DV current with a frequency of 50-60hz while experimenting the effect of the current.
1) AC- The shock was higher from my hand to every corner of my body but I felt relaxed after a min or two. And nothing else occurred when the current flows is lost.
2) DC- I took the shock the same time (a second) as AC and the current was less powerful than that of AC current. But not forgetting, the hand which I touched the DC current during my experiment is having a muscle cramp seldom up-to-the-minute.
So my friends, I can't assure which of the current is more dangerous but I can assure as both are dangerous to death or life with dead body part(s) is worst.

At 300V DC the shock may be same as 150V AC shock. THis
means that AC shock is more dangerous than DC.
On the other hand, it is the current produced that causes
you to get a shock. Therefore if 300V DC has 32 amps and
150V AC has 12amps then 300V DC will have greater shock
effects on you than 150V DC.Or if 150V AC has 32 amps and
300V DC has 12 amps of current then 150V AC will create
more shock than 300V DC.
Thus to conclude, do not try anythng unless you are not
sure of the current that is present or going to be produced.

for ac power is proportinal to p.f.For ac supply it less than 1.but for dc pf is 1.so dc power is more than ac of same ratings and same voltage .If pf =1 ac,both ac and dc are same effect.

hello,
as per above discussion AC is most dangereous then Dc,
an human body having tandancy to discard the current source
it will repulsive to the energy cause human is self energy
generator it's generating energy is very low amount of
voltage, so that at initial stage body can refuse the
voltage and get away from the source it self when ever
sorce voltage much mor then 120 volt it causes of shoke and
you will get shoke
another fector of getting shoke is how much your body is
isolated from the earth .
DC source having no such kind of tendency it will shoke
you absolutely and your body will get locked and body can
get burn . we cannot say shoked by DC
finally AC is dangerous then DC

ac is more dangerous than dc as it attract the person
towards it whereas dc repels.ac gives a serious shock to a
person as compared to dc.
