In iduction motors the current is higher than normal for both the cases when the voltage appllied is more than the rated as well as less than the rated, why?

We say that if voltage in a power system is increased,for a constant power the current will decrease (by P=VI). isn't this in disagreement with the ohms law(I propotional V;resistant const.).Since the resistance of transmission lines remains constant,shouldn't inc in voltage cause inc in current across the transmission line? I have read many articles across the net but still couldn't this figure this out. :( Guyz plz assist me with dis..:)..
