What is the drawback of class b amplifier? How is this minimized?
Answer / Shreyansh Nath
The main drawback of a Class B amplifier is that it produces significant harmonic distortion due to its asymmetric output waveform. This can be minimized by using Class AB operation, where some portion of the input signal is allowed to overlap between the two halves of the push-pull output stage, producing a more symmetrical waveform and reducing distortion.
