Describe the different cold drawing processes...

Answer / Divyanshu Rai

Cold drawing is a metalworking process used to reduce the cross-sectional area of a solid piece of metal. The following are some common cold drawing processes:
1. Straight Drawing: This involves pulling the workpiece through a die opening with a constant draw ratio.
2. Taper Drawing: In this process, the workpiece is drawn into a die opening that tapers in the direction of the drawing motion, resulting in a tapered part.
3. Cross Drawing: This process involves drawing the workpiece across the die opening, perpendicular to the direction of the drawing motion.
4. Redrawing: This process is repeated multiple times on the same workpiece to further reduce its cross-sectional area.
