Explain the working principle of lvdt?

Explain the working principle of lvdt?..

Answer / Bhoopendra Kumar

Linear Variable Differential Transformer (LVDT) operates on Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction. An LVDT contains an inner coil and an outer coil. When a linear movement is applied to a central core inside the inner coil, it induces a voltage in the secondary winding due to the variation in mutual inductance between primary and secondary windings. By measuring this induced voltage, the position of the central core can be determined.
