How to carry out hot loop checking of closed loop pf
temperature control valve & temperature transmitter?

It can be done by following the steps below.
1. Take the control loop in manual mode.
2. Block the temperature control valve position manually to
the desired value.
3. Now check the loop as per the normal loop checking
procedure i.e. feed 4-20ma and observe the output value on
the DCS.

simple..
there is no hot loop check or cold loop check..
as u mentioned u have a temp transmitter and control valve
so,u have 2-AI and 1-AO
-connect the simulator by removing the DCS cable of the temp
transmitter,then give 4 - 20 mA and check with DCS reading
-give 0 to 100% command from the DCS for AO to operate the
control valve.then check the feedback in the DCS(AI)
conclusion,ur loop is ok...
