What will be the voltage regulation of a full load and 0.80 power factor lagging load transformer when a two winding single phase transformer has a voltage regulation of 4.5% at full load and unity power factor?
Answer / Sunil Kumar Savita
The voltage regulation for a full load and 0.80 power factor lagging load transformer can be found by applying the Power Factor Correction Factor (PFCF). The PFCF for a lagging power factor is given as 1/|PF|^2. So, for a 0.80 power factor, the PFCF is 1/(0.8)^2 = 2.25. Therefore, the voltage regulation of the transformer will be 4.5% * 2.25 = 10%.

following are the questions asked in interviews: 1) Considering the short circuit fault, which switchgear is preferable, SFU OR MCCB? Which operates faster? whicg one is popular in Indian Market and why? 2)Define SCPD.
