Can you explain axial play and radial play
Answer / ch.koteswara rao
Axial play is the clearance is allowed in axial direction (longitudinal direction) of a shaft adjusted by check nut mechanism to arrest the movement when rotating within the set clearance
Radial play is the play in the radial direction while rotating
not allow beyond that value to control run-out of a shaft to impart required/desired accurate rotation for allowable/designed rotation. Its depends on selection and type of bearing or clearance allowed in friction type of bearing
