why tan delta test is carried out in the power transformer?
which parameter are measure?
In power transformer Generally TanDelta Test is carried out To Measure the Insulation Resistance of the Bushing of Transformer ,But You would have Doubt there IR is measures also by a MEGGER but Megger actually (Generally ) as 5KV DC in but in this megger The Insulation is Only Measured But In actually in Tan delta test The Insulation. property of Insulator which have a Capacitance Effect When In Loading Therefore this is Taken out to measures the Loss angle of Dielecrtic . Which is Delta (loss angle of Diectric material) .
