What is skin effect?..

Answer / dorji

If i answer to no.1
Conductors comes in strands coz, larger cross section of conductors can be used & on other hand if we happen to use single wire then, as said above the density of current will be high at the surface(skin effect), it means it uses only outer part of the conductor and no full utilization of conductor.
