What is the difference between DCS and SCADA?
Answer / mohammed rafiuddin
The difference between SCADA and DCS; SCADA collects data
from monitoring equipment and various sensors throughout an
industrial complex and sends it to a central computer for
processing. On the other hand, the DCS controller elements
are not centralized but distributed throughout the
industrial complex. Finally, a DCS is believed to be more
reliable than a SCADA system.
