what is droop in governer ,type of droop ,how it work..

Answer / Mohd Nazir

Droop is a characteristic of voltage or current regulation in power systems, particularly in static regulators like DC voltage controllers and some types of AC synchronous generators. Droop refers to the reduction (or increase) in output voltage (or current) as load increases (or decreases). There are two main types of droop: Load Droop (VDroop or IDroop), which describes the change in output voltage or current with respect to load, and Frequency Droop (Frequency Droop or Speed Droop), which describes the change in frequency (or speed) with respect to load. The operation of droop is based on the principle that a regulator's output deviates from its set point as the load changes.
