Practically we can adopted 6 Number cubes for cube testing.
3 number cubes test on 7th day & other 3 cubes test on 28th
day..

As per IS 7 days is not required but 7 days result is just a cross checking (7 days result must more than 77%)

for 28 days
concrete in cmt no of samples(3 cubes)
1) 1 to 5 1
2) 6 to 15 2
3) 16 to 30 3
4) 31 to 50 4
5) 51 and above 4 plus one additional sample for
each additional 50 cmt

As per IS 456:2000 for 28 days
concrete in cmt no of samples(3 cubes)
1) 1 to 5 1
2) 6 to 15 2
3) 16 to 30 3
4) 31 to 50 4
5) 51 and above 4 plus one additional sample for
each additional 50 cmt Or nomber of 06 sample of concrete
cube 03 of 7Days and 3 of 28 Days individual Avg. compressive
strength +/- 15 %
