On a new alternator the markings are usually U V W N
These match to R Y B N.
But it may be that the phase rotation in the building is
backwards and all the 3 phase motors will then run
backwards on the new alternator supply.
A phase rotation meter should be used to confirm that the
phase rotation is identical.

Normally we erection the new generator we connect the main supply from DG set to Electrical pane. we charge the panel from DG supply then we check the direction of motors. if it is reversed the we change the polarity of 3 phases. RYB to change RBY.
