What are the functions of grout inside tendon ducts?..

1.to avoid the hogging
2.to avoid the lateral , longitudinal buckling
3.to prevent from corrosion, slip of tendon
4.for maintain the tension in tendon
5.to increase the friction force between tendons and ducts
to maintain the tension fore .. if friction fore reduced
some time tendon will go back original position which means
no fore in tendon it leads structural failure ..it will not
take load.. etc

seperate the tendons and ducts, otherwise ducts may be
damaged...

Grout the hole after the tendons are placed, it grips the tendons in its orginal position. And stress appliedyo tendonsare not reduced. It also help take stress to tendons.
