Using stone dust as a filler in pavements has several potential disadvantages: (1) Stone dust can compact poorly, leading to weak pavement structure and poor drainage; (2) It may cause excessive fines migration, reducing the overall stability of the pavement; (3) Stone dust can be easily eroded by rain and traffic, leading to premature deterioration of the pavement surface; and (4) Improper use of stone dust as a filler can result in lower bearing capacity and uneven settlement of the pavement.
