The motor will get low current rate and much voltage,so the efficient of machine is poor and low power factor.

normaly in star connection motor take very less current as
compare to delta connected. because of current get root 3
times less than phase current. in fact motor almost take
low current but low power factor also. you must know how
much load give to motor if motor load is hgh and its
connected star then it unable share load whether it requre
to delta.
