What is cutting Length of stirrups of a beam 300mm*300mm...

Answer / sundar rajan

For 10mm rod,
1.substract 25mm- cover on both sides
(250+250+250+250) =1000mm
2. number of hooks--2,so {(10*d)+(10*d)}= 200mm
ADD =1200mm-------A
3. 90degree bending(elongation) in 4 sides + 1 hook bending
(elongation)
4. for each elongation, substract(2*d). now here 5
elongation so =(5*2*10mm)----B

ANS: A-B= 1200mm-100mm = 1100mm.
