it will definitely improve power factor,but the problem is
if we installed more capacitor than required then receiving
voltage will be greater than sending voltage,farrantic
effect will happen

either way, if the angle fi of P.F cos fi is close to 90 degree (close to Y axis) or 270 degree (close to Y' axis) the effective/usable power is going to reduce because value of cos fi will reduce as fi moves from o degree to 90 degree or 0 degree to 270 degree. So when we are using capacitor bank it should be used only to nullify the lagging part and should not be used in excess.
