the invention of this law happen after the third law.
the scientiest think that this law should be at the first
law but they have already given named the first law.
so they named the same as ZEROTH law of theremodynamics

It is called the Zeroth Law as it is not derivable from the
other laws and is often useful to understand the concept
before presenting the other laws of thermodynamics.

Since the invention of other thermodynamics law,s are already done then after scientists realize this one and this is very basic for understanding thermodynamics hence its name became zeroth law.

If two thermodynamic systems are each in thermal equilibrium
with a third, then they are in thermal equilibrium with each
other.
(ie) when two different temperature body comes contact with
each other they reach the equilibrium temperature(attain
same temerature)
