diff between AMD64 and intel P4
Answer / Sudha Maurya
"AMD64 (also known as x86-64) is a 64-bit extension to the x86 instruction set, while Intel P4 refers to a specific model of a 32-bit microprocessor from Intel. The main differences between them are:
1. Architecture: AMD64 uses the x86-64 architecture, which supports 64-bit processors and memory addressing, whereas Intel P4 uses the NetBurst microarchitecture, which is a 32-bit design.
2. Maximum Memory Support: AMD64 can support up to 18 Exabytes of physical memory, while Intel P4 has a limit of 4 GB (in 32-bit mode) or 8 TB (in 64-bit Extended Memory Technology - EM64T) mode."
