A ballast & ignitor is required in MH & other lighting
fixture because its takes high voltage in starting and
normal voltage in running periods.

They create high voltage initially to strike the arc, then
the ballast limits the current as the resistance of the bulb
becomes zero due to ionization.

present we are having 0.8pf but I want increase it up to 0.99 so what is the formula for it and how can i calculate?
