d=Depth of bottom portion
h=Height of trapizodial portion (D-d)
A1= Area of bottom portion (L X B)

Am= Mean area of A1 AND A2

In case of a beam ,main steel is provided along the longer span because, bending moment is directly proportional to length but why in case of one way slab main steel is provided along shorter span while as bending takes place along longer span?comment
