as a site engineer, you need not check soil bearing capacity
and etc. because the designer has already considered the
bearing capacity during designing. you have to check the
following-
1. the drawings used for survey, shuttering, reinforcement
are of latest revision or not.
2. check the survey report
3. check alignment (co-ordinates) of foundation as per drawing
4. check reinforcement details as per drawing/approved BBS
5. check the dimension of foundation
6. check for PCC top level and RCC top level (as marked in
inner face of shuttering)
7. check for concrete cover at bottom and sides
8. check for alignment of pedestal reinforcement dowels
9. check for tying of rabars specially at every crossings
10. check for de watering, if necessary
11. check for arrangement of manpower, vibrators, access for
pouring etc.
12. if everything is ok, sign the concrete pour card and
proceed for pouring.
