What is your temperature range? if it is 0 to 500 deg. C
and no vibration in area then you can easly go for RTD with
transmitter and indicator.
How high temp. you can use J type thermocouple with
transmitter and indicator.
above 1000 dg c use K type for R type. While using
Thermocouple be carefull about Cold Junction Compensation.
