n=120f/p
from this we can say that n is inversely proportional to number of poles.

but n is independent of motor(it doesn't matter weather a motor is large or small)

then i hope u can also answer why speed of salient pole
motor is less than cylindrical pole motor?
itz because for bigger diameter rotor higher speed is nor
possible as it experiences greater centrifugal force.
