in soft starter system for 375 KW 3 ph induction motor for
multi stage vertical pump, two thyristers failed causing
shorting of thyrister. the motor winding failed while
starting.What is the cause and what is the effect in above
case

Full voltage was applied across one of the windings
coneected in delta .
