simulation means (The act of giving a false appearance of input or signal)
to our system so that we can check our loop, response of relative outputs, to bypass the protection,
For example
1.to check smoke, heat detectors response we apply magnet to activate its relay to energize a false fire signal to system.
2.to check our loop during commissioning we apply mAs and get values in CCR.
3.whenever such situation has to face that an erratic signal persisting protection and machine cannot start so we can apply necessary pulse to our logic and start our machine.

simulation is tools for giving false appereance at input
for checking logic result
by simulation we can check stroke (operation) of control
valves,control test of motor(start/stop),
and major advantage is ,during plant running,if any input
not working properly, then by simulating we can rectify its
problem in such way we can avoid the false tripping of plant

Steve said that "An eddy-current probe works by passing an alternating current through a coil of wire and measuring the coil’s impedance" while we are using -24 Volt DC , So I am confused about DC and AC. Plz .
