how we can check that any motor is faulty may be single phase or three phase?..

Answer / p.senthil kumar

1.you can check the ohmic value by using multi meter in
between r-y,y-b,r-b of motor windings & it must be the same
ohmic value for fine motor winding.
2.also check insullation value of each winding R,Y,B with
reference to earth.in that megger meter must shown infinite
value for fine motor winding condition.if it is shown zero
motor stator winding is defective.
3.for single phase check for connectivity of winding in
between running & starting winding.also check for a faulty
capacitor.
