Why in celling fan stator are rotatig while rotor are steday

Answer / anubhav
Actually equal and opposite torque acts on both stator and
rotor......but in ceiling fan rotor is fixed that's why it
cant rotor,so what rotates is stator or the outer part of
the machine.
Another interesting thing to observe-why ceiling fan
rotates in clockwise direction while table fan in
anticlockwise direction.......because in table fan the inner
part is rotating (i.e. rotor is rotating).

the question it self is wrong
what rotates is rotor and what does not is stator

Answer 5 is good ...there is more to it ....practical
construction of ceiling fan ----> you cannot attach fixed
supply wires to rotating part ( simplicity of construction
)hence they are attached to ROTOR ( middle stable part in
case).....Fan Blades must be attached to rotating parts but
cannot be attached to middle shaft as it contain Ball
bearing for support at that place.Ball bearing can suport
rotation but not lateral tension ....Therefore
1. Supply is attached to stable part so that connection is easy.
2. Blade are attached to body , so body ( lower one) must be
rotating.
Technically ...ROTOR and stator are named based on their
movement ability. Supply can be attached to ANY ONE of them
based on your practical suitability.

ASTM D 3455 - Standard Test Methods for Compatibility of Construction Material with Electrical Insulating Oil of Petroleum Origin has been used for Testing Transformer Oils with a product placed in it. Aged Control Oil has a Power Factor of 0.032% at 100°C. Aged Oil with a Test component has a Power Factor of 0.093% at 100°. Is this increase acceptable? If not why? How much increase is acceptable?
